Today is day 14 of the August Blogger Writing Challenge, and today we’re discussing our “What if’s?”. How would our lives be different if we’d made one big decision differently. What is that one decision that you keep wondering “What if?”.
I actually have two BIG “What if?” decisions/moments.
My first one was my Athletic Therapist Ceritifcation exam. As many of you know, I did my undergrad science degree in Kinesiology and Health Science. What you may not realise is that while I worked on my degree, I was concurrently enrolled in a three-year Athletic Therapy certificate program. The goal at the conclusion of my three years of treating athletes on field and in clinics was to become both a CATA and NATA certified Athletic Therapist/Trainer (Certified to work in both Canada and the United States). I completed ALL of the clinical, and field hours (both for high-contact and low-contact sports), and all of the courses I need in order to qualify to write the Canadian Athletic Therapists Association exam and the National Athletic Trainers exam. Hundreds of hours were spent learning, studying, practising, and volunteering. Only I didn’t go through with writing the exams. I didn’t even register to write the exams.
I often wonder, “What if?”.
- What if I had the courage to write the exams?
- What if I had the money to apply to write the exams, study and travel to write the exams?
What are your ” What if’s?”?
