In April some fraudulent activity occurred with my PayPal account. PayPal was very nice and notified me via email right away, and corrected the problem – returning all of the money to my account (YAY!). Unfortunately during that process PayPal also placed a “limit” on my account. Things went along smoothly for a month – some payments went into my account (YAY!) and I couldn’t remove my money (this is also a YAY because it meant I couldn’t spend the money – I’m saving up for an iPad2). Then last week I sold an ad on my sites (bringing me closer to my iPad goal) but the payment was blocked by PayPal (BOO!).
I was left with no choice but to attempt to contact them.
With that sort of thing I prefer to speak to a REAL live person. So I spent an hour of the little free time searching the PayPal website searching for their phone number. I eventually found a “402” area code. Hmmm… Long distance charges? I think not!
So I called it – and guess what?! A real live person from PayPal did answer! (It was their collections department). She transferred me to the correct person and 12 minutes later my account was restored – YAY
