Easter came a little early around here (and Spring a little late, but at least it FINALLY came!):
Today my in-laws came to celebrate Easter with us. They came early in the morning and had a nice Easter breakfast with us (bacon, toast and eggs – of course!). Then the girls were suitably spoiled by grandma and grandpa – a book, some sidewalk chalk and a chocolate bunny for each of them (I can’t wait to “help” Amber with hers – tee hee).
Because the weather was BEAUTIFUL, we spent the whole day outside! We decorated the driveway and sidewalk with our beautiful drawings and creations, then took a trip to the park, then played some more on the swingset in the backyard. Man! I’m tired tonight from all of the under doggies I gave!
Here are some pics I snapped of the kids playing:
Unfortunately, Amber wasn’t feeling well, so she and grandpa enjoyed some quiet cuddles:
The best part of the whole day was dinner. Why? Because we FINALLY had some nice weather, hubby decided he’d rather BBQ then have a traditional Easter dinner – so we all had some very tasty burgers! Yum!
Tonight the Easter Bunny will hop through and leave some treats for the kiddos – I can’t wait to watch them run around the house finding them!
Question: How does your family celebrate Easter? What’s a typical Easter meal for you?
