Before I recap my progress in the #dosomething Everyday in May challenge, I’d like to
ask beg you to go VOTE FOR ME…
In what you ask? Well tonight I opened my email to learn that a very kind blog friend had nominated me for the Top 25 Health & Fitness Mom Blogs on Circle of Moms. I’m honored. Absolutely honored that someone thought high enough of me to nominate me – whomever you are thank you! (The email came from Circle of Moms so I have no idea who nominated me). Just knowing that someone felt that *I* belong on that list makes my heart sing!
OK, let’s get on with the show now that business has been taken care of!
I’m STILL streaking!
Some days are easier to get my workouts in than others…. For instance yesterday (Tuesday), hubby was
trying to stay out of the doghouse nice and took Sierra to school and Brooke to preschool on his way to work, leaving me with a ton of time to get to the gym and drop Amber off in the gym’s daycare. YAY! I was all excited for my BodyPump class. Except….. I got the gym schedule wrong 🙁 Bummer! It was BodyFLOW at 9:30 NOT BodyPUMP – so since I was there anyways I decided to make the most out of my time. I ran for 10 min on the DREADMILL (hate that thing) to warm up, then went to the weight area and did full body strength training routine – I’ve been asked to share more info about that, so keep your eyes open for a post in the very near future.
Today it was much harder to find the TIME and MOTIVATION to workout. Amber is going through a weird baby “I-don’t-wanna-sleep-unless-I’m-on-top-of-you” phase… ARGH! She cried so hard last night that she gagged on her mucus then threw up all over her bed (TMI). I was totally lazy and changed her but not her bed. Instead I took her in bed with me and rubbed her back whenever she stirred. I have no idea how many times she woke up (I lost count). Needless to say I was pretty thankful to see a text from my 6 am workout buddy saying she had to bail on me, so I rolled over and went back to sleep…
All day I had a bad case of the I don’t wannas… So I spent the whole day feeling guilty and trying to work up the motivation to #dosomething ANYTHING for 20 min. Yes – it even happens to me! Finally after dinner I put Amber in the stroller and went on a 20 minute power walk with the kids – Sierra rode her bike while speedy little Amber ran alongside her (I think she takes after Mommy).
Tonight has already had a rough start so a 6am BodyPump class is out of the cards – but I’ve double checked the schedule & I can definitely catch a class at 9:30. That’s my plan and having a plan is the first step towards success, right?
