Happy Monday folks! Are you ready to take on another week?
As I had anticipated, last week wasn’t a stellar training week, but I’m not gonna bore ya with my excuses, yanno why?
So let’s focus on the positive, on what I DID accomplish, and not what I DIDN’T:
- I ran a combined total of 20k for the week,
- I went to a spinning class,
- a core strength class,
- and a BodyPump class.
I also discovered during my core class that there are ab exercises that I can do now that I’ve never been able to do in my entire life:
My hard work is finally paying off! I’m so excited!!
So yeah, although my core is getting stronger (thank you core strength class & BodyPump), I’ve noticed lately that I’ve been floundering around with my fitness like a fish out of water, making excuses for missed workouts that no one really cares about and I’ve finally figured out why:
While being active since my last race has been good for my overall health and core strength, it hasn’t been doing much for my self-esteem, happiness etc.
So I stopped by the bookstore today and decided to pick up some inspiration for what I’m pretty sure is my next goal:
I’m hoping to make a big announcement about this a little later on in the week right here on my blog…. (This would be called foreshadowing).
So now onto my plan for this week… no more excuses – I’m gonna OWN IT!!!
- Monday: Spinning class followed by core strength class
- Tuesday: 5k easy run
- Wednesday: BodyPump – release 81 (I tried it for the first time last week – man was it ever hard!)
- Thursday: 5k east run
- Friday: Rest
- Saturday: run – 15k?
- Sunday: BodyPump
