Happy Valentine’s Day my Mamavation Sista’s!! This is my Mamavation Monday post for February 13, 2012.
How have you all been? Sorry about not posting last week, I was busy decontaminating my house from the nasty viral infection that attacked my family (I think it was either norovirus or rotavirus). Whatever it was, it was mega nasty. Thankfully it didn’t get me – I guess someone had to be well enough to look after/clean up after everyone.
This week life returned to normal – everyone went to work/school/daycare and their after school activities (swimming, gymnastics & hockey). Work was super busy and I had a fantastic training week:
Monday: 40 min lunch spinning class
Tuesday: Not feeling very well (migraine) so I skipped my lunch run
Wednesday: Lunch time BodyPump class
Thursday: 5k lunch run
Friday: 5k lunch run
Saturday: 18k training run – very very cold out (-10C) and sidewalks were snow covered – I kinda looked like this on my run:
Tonight on Mamavation TV we’ll be talking about learning to relax and saying no to stress – how do you relax?
Sundays are my day to relax and recover from my training week. I spend the morning cleaning the house and preparing for the week ahead, folding laundry, packing up backpacks etc… In the afternoon Sierra goes to her hockey practice with hubby, Amber naps, and Brooke invites a friend over. It’s while Brooke is busy playing playdoh/lego/games etc with her friends that I curl up on the couch with my ipad and bluetooth keyboard to type up a few blog posts for the week (yes – I totally admit to scheduling posts ahead of time). I also use that somewhat quiet time to plan out my training for the next week…
Monday: Spinning class
Tuesday: 8k run
Thursday: 8k run (tempo)
Friday: 5k easy
Saturday: 19k (last super long training run before the half marathon)
