I’m now just a little over halfway through my 5 consecutive weekends of racing, fall race season. First there was the triathlon (of which I still owe you a race recap), then there was my first obstacle race, then this past weekend I did the Color Run with my girls and it was simply amazing! We had soooooooo much fun together! Choosing matchy matchy outfits, getting dressed, lining up in the corral, and finally running together as a team – it was so much fun!
I promise that later this week I’ll write up a full race recap for both the Iron Girl Triathlon, and the Color Run. In the mean time I’m gearing up for race number 4….
The Ontario Women’s Triathlon!!
This has been my summer goal race. I’ve trained and worked my butt off for it. We’re now less than a week away from race day and I’m starting to get cold feet about it. I think I was much better prepared for Iron Girl, though maybe it’s my mind playing tricks on me because I haven’t worked out overly hard the past two weeks. I guess only time will tell how prepared I am….
This week my plan is a taper week with some light training just to help my mind:
Monday: Easy spinning class
Tuesday: 8k run
Wednesday: BodyPump class
Thursday: Easy lunch ride, easy swim
Friday: 5k run
Saturday: Rest day
Sunday: Triathlon day!!
All in all it’s been a busy busy summer, and I can’t wait for my next triathlon!
Have a great week everyone!
What’s on your training plan this week? Are you training for any upcoming races?
