There are only 12 more days until Christmas. Yikes! And as I wrote on Monday – I am STRESSED out! So you know what I do when I ‘m stressed out?
Like most people, I ‘m an emotional eater. When I ‘m stressed out there is no such thing as moderation. Carrots? They don’t stand a chance ” I will eat the WHOLE bag! (Or bags ….). So on Tuesday while I was at the mall procrastinating and admiring the awesome Christmas decorations:
I bought, and consumed an entire bag of Rice Works Crisps:
OMG ” these are so yummy! They’re made from brown rice with no cholesterol, no trans fat and no artificial flavours – they’re also Gluten-Free! I ‘m assuming they’re healthier than plain old chips, but I ‘m sure they have just as many calories, so if you eat them, don’t eat the entire bag like I did *grin*.
I found them while I was at the drug store picking up some Vitamin B12 (because it gives energy), and some iron pills because my iron levels are consistently low. I can also tell when my iron is low by my menstrual cycle (I ‘ll spare ya the details):
I’ve been so tired and sluggish lately. Partly because of the toll Holiday stress takes on me, partly because I’ve been skipping my workouts to meander the malls and admire Christmas decorations, and partly because of my iron. The low iron makes it difficult to focus and concentrate …
Again with the focus thing … I really need a better Christmas plan than my wait-until-the-last-minute-and-buy-whatever-I-can-find “strategy”. This is where you come in, and is the real point of this post.
How do you balance family commitments, work, fitness, and healthy eating with the added stress of holiday preparations, parties etc?
Got any tips for me? ËœCause this stress is burning me out!
Disclosure: I found the Rice Works Crisps at the store all on my own and purchased them with my own money. I was not compensated, nor asked to write about them at all. The opinions expressed are completely my own. Oh! Almost forgot… Although I was a Swiss Natural ambassador earlier in the year, my contract with them has been fulfilled yet I still buy their products because they’re awesome. I was not compensated to write about the Vitamin B12 or the iron pills either.
