Sorry guys, I had an awesome post about low-calorie summer cocktails and mocktails scheduled for today that was also a campaign launch for a brand, but the brand has decided to hold off on the launch for a few days. So instead I’ll share with you my Mother’s Day eats all made for me by my husband, Mr. FitCheerLdr. My husband LOVES to cook so he used Mother’s Day as an excuse to treat me like a Queen:
First he served me breakfast in bed:
(Fried egg on a sesame seed bagel with bacon, cheese and mayonnaise)
Then I opened up my Mother’s Day gifts from the kids:
(From Brooke: A flower-pot with a REAL flower growing in it!)
(From Amber: A cute Butterfly footprint craft and with a cute poem)
(From Sierra: a really cute layered card about why she loves me)
And then the girls “took” me for a run. Brooke learned to ride her bike the day before, so she was anxious to see how FAR she could ride. We let her be the leader and she led us on a REALLY crazy slow 2.5k around the neighbourhood. My injured heel didn’t hurt at all.
Hooray my heel is healed!
Then we played at the park, and shared lots of laughs until the rain came and scared us back home for lunch. When we got home, hubby had lunch waiting for us:
(Chicken and spinach salad – but I ate it before I took a picture of it, so instead here’s a picture
of a some chicken and a caesar salad I ate last year 🙂 )
Amber then came to the store with me to buy the stuff for my low cal summer cocktail post, and then I proceeded to enjoy the afternoon experimenting with the blender and alcohol:
(These were DELICIOUS!!)
The girls spent their afternoon alternating between playing inside, and playing outside with their friends while I continued to study for my CPPB exam (which I finally wrote today!). Hubby made us a wonderful dinner:
(Steak, roast potatoes and caesar salad – this is actually a picture of my dinner)
And of course there was dessert:
And that, my friends, was my AWESOME Mother’s Day!
