I struggle with that very question every week when I shop for my family. Are packaged apple slices as healthy as a “real” whole apple? What about canned tuna salad? Pre-packaged salads? Packaged hard-boiled eggs? (Yes I actually found some at the grocery store this week). Are all packaged foods bad? Are some healthy?
I’m a busy mom of 3, my husband is a dedicated employee, works long hours, and travels a lot. My job is to care for the kids, meal plan, grocery shop and cook for us. I’m spread thin, fitting my own fitness in while trying to provide my family with the most delicious (and healthy) meals that I can. Often this means choosing packaged foods… Are these really a healthy alternative choice?
The truth is I don’t know. I’m not a nutritionist. I’m a health conscious mom – trying to provide my family with the best foods I can on our budget. But I’m going to find out tonight at the #goundiet Twitter Party TONIGHT at 8pm!
I was asked by the fabulous Gloria Tsang, RD of HealthCastle.com to be a panelist at the #goundiet Twitter Party TONIGHT at 8pm and I jumped at the chance! I see this as a perfect learning opportunity, and a great opportunity to share my passion for health, and to connect with you, and even people I don’t already know. Will you join us tonight?
