I have a confession to make… Over the past few weeks I’ve been eating a lot of these:
I could say it was the stress hormone cortisol, or I was tired, or I’m PMS’ing or perhaps justify it because it has FRUIT..
But truthfully no one has been putting a gun to my head to either buy them nor eat them. I’m owning my food choices and this coming week I’m going to choose to eat more veggies, and lean protein. (Really, I am!). This is why I’m so glad that this week’s Mamavation TV special guest is Corinne Dobbas, MS, RD, (@RDCorinne) a leading nutrition counselor, writer, speaker and trusted nutrition source for the media who will be sharing ways to give a makeover to mac-n-cheese and brownies to make them better and healthier!
Which brings me to last week’s training:
Monday: recovery from last week’s duathlon
Tuesday: Pouring rain out – so I skipped my run
Wednesday: I think I made it to BodyPump (I can’t remember)
Thursday: Spinning Class
Friday: ran 5.5k
Saturday: Wimped out and decided to run on Sunday instead
Sunday: Ran 10K, but was supposed to run 15k
Yep – more “excuses”.
So this week my training plan is:
Monday: Run 5k
Wednesday: Early morning run, lunch with a friend
Friday: 6k run
Saturday: 5-8k on the indoor track while the kids are at gymnastics
Sunday: rest day
I think I need a few “nudges” to get back on track.
